Remington Wet 2 Straight Hair Straighteners

I'm not sure whether any of you have heard of BzzAgent? It's a website that I signed up to a few years ago which offers me opportunities to test products and then tell people my opinions on them. Recently, I was asked if I wanted to test some Remington Wet 2 Straight hair straighteners and I accepted. (It was quite helpful as I was looking to buy some wet to dry hair straighteners anyway, I just hadn't chosen a brand yet!)

I've been using them for just over a week now, and have used them on both wet and dry hair so thought now would be a good time to write a review. Just to give you an idea of what I've had in the past to compare them with:
~ SCP hair straighteners most recently (better technology than GHD's apparently)
~ Various Nicky Clarke ones
~ Some Babyliss ones years ago when they only went up to about 50 degrees!
So I have been straightening my hair for a long time!

Firstly, the basics:
- Heats up to 230 degrees
- Heats up quickly
- Wet and dry modes
- Anti-frizz for up to 8 hours
- Curved handle for easier use

My opinions on my new Wet 2 Straight straighteners:
When dry:
When dry, I find these straighteners are pretty much the same as any others - they give the same results as my most recent ones.

When wet:
The bit that most of you are probably interested in is what they're like to use on wet hair. To use them, you have to be using the wet mode (which is default when you turn them on) and you just section your towel-dried hair and straighten as you would with any others. I usually find that I have to go over each bit a few times when using them on wet hair, though even with this it's still a little bit quicker than using a hair dryer.
When I've straightened my hair enough for it to be dry, I still find that my hair isn't actually that straight.. It's not curly, but it's not straight! So I then go over it with the dry mode to get the finish that I want.

Overall opinion:
Overall I quite like my hair straighteners, and think that once I'm a bit more used to them they'll give better results. I'm not sure that I agree with the 8 hours anti-frizz thing though... And the effects of humid air on my hair is no different to any others. I don't regret getting them though, as it's quite cool to be able to straighten wet hair (though make sure it's not too wet or droplets of hot water fall on you and it hurts!!) and my old straighteners were getting a bit damaging to my hair as the plates had gone rough.

If you have any questions or comments then post them on here and I'll make sure to answer! :-)

Hmm, I would recommend Remington if you're ever going to want to straighten your hair when wet - RRP - £80 but they're on offer in some shops and can be bought in lots of places (Boots, Amazon etc).
If you're never going to straighten your hair when wet, I would say SCP hair straighteners which are harder to find, I bought mine from hairstuffdirect.co.uk. They're just under £40!
Although GHDs are good, I would say that they're overpriced and wouldn't recommend them.
